If an ingredient is "partially hydrogenated oil" this is another name for trans-fats, and is worse for you than saturated fats which are the main cause of heart attacks and strokes.You will want to eventually, if not immediately, throw out all foods you have with this ingredient listed on the package.<br />    You can work on replacing the not-so-good ingredients in your pantry along the way<br /><br /> Buy your groceries at natural food stores or from the "healthy foods" section of your closest market. Buy fruits and vegetables, herbal teas, organic meats (if you can).[citation needed] Look at the labels of the things you buy so that you know what your food contains.<br /><br />    When in a supermarket, shop on the outer aisles most; this is where most of the healthier, unprocessed foods tend to be located (fruits, vegetables, bulk nuts/grains, etc.).<br />    It's always a good thing to be able to pronounce everything you are putting in your body, but just because something is listed by its chemical name, doesn't mean it's bad for you<br /><br /> Look for healthy recipes you can make. Cooking homemade meals is usually healthier than take-out<br /></div>

darkened or tanned. The process is most often a result of exposure to 
ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun or from artificial sources, such

 the sun engage in sun bathing. Some people use chemical products which 
can produce a tanning effect without exposure to ultraviolet radiation.<br /><br />Moderate
 exposure to the sun contributes to the production of vitamin D by the 
body, but excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays has negative health 
effects, including sunburn and increased risk of skin cancer, as well as
 depressed immune system function and accelerated aging of the skin.

Dementia is a common, very debilitating disease, and it can sometimes be difficult to diagnose. The most commonly used methods of testing a person for dementia are the Mini-Mental State Exam and the MoCA. This article will explain how to administer these tests to an individual who you are concerned may be progressing into dementia<br /><br /> The MMSE is a 10-minute test you can use to evaluate a person's cognitive function, including such elements as language, memory, and calculation. This is a more traditionally used test<br /><br />Test orientation to time (5 points). Ask for the date. The person must be able to name the date, month, year, day of the week, and season.<br />Test orientation to place (5 points). Ask where the person (and yourself) are currently. The person must be able to name the city, state, county, type of building, and street (or floor of building).<br />Test registration (3 points). Name 3 objects, and ask the person to repeat them immediately after you. You must say them altogether, rather than one-by-one, and they must also repeat them back to you altogether. Also, tell them that you will ask them to recall these 3 words in a few minutes.<br />Test attention (5 points).<br /><br />    Ask the person to spell the word WORLD backwards.<br />    Serial 7s. Ask the person to count back from 100 by 7s.<br /><br />Test recall (3 points). Ask the person to repeat the 3 words you told them to memorize earlier.<br />Test language (2 points). Point to a pencil and a wristwatch, and ask the person to name them.<br />Test repetition (1 point). Ask the person to repeat the phrase "no ifs, ands, or buts."<br />Test ability to follow complex commands.<br /><br />    Ask the person to follow a 3-step command (3 points). For example, tell the person to take a piece of paper in their right hand, fold it in half, and put it on the floor.<br />    On a piece of paper, write "close your eyes," and ask the person to follow this command (1 point).<br />    Ask the person to write a sentence (1 point). It must include a noun and a verb, and it must be sensible.<br />    Ask the person to copy a geometric design, such as overlapping pentagons (1 point)</div>

An aneurysm is a bulge in the wall of a blood vessel caused by the weakening of the vessel wall. Aneurysms can occur in any blood vessel, but the most dangerous aneurysms are those that form in the aorta or the arteries in the brain. Ruptures in the vessels can lead to death up to half the time they occur. Aneurysms are often difficult to detect until they rupture, and equally difficult to prevent, but there are steps you can take to help you avoid an aneurysm or prevent one from rupturing if it is detected. See Step 1 for more information<br /><br /> If at least two other members of your family have had aneurysms, either recently or in the past, you should be screened for the possibility of developing an aneurysm yourself. Doctors normally recommend such screenings every five years.<br /><br />    Most aneurysms are detected after the fact, when they've already become medical emergencies, or when brain imaging is performed for other purposes. Because it's a difficult thing to screen for, most doctors will recommend against testing and looking for unruptured aneurysms, unless you've experienced any of the symptoms or fit the profile of an aneurysm<br /><br />If you experience eye pain, specifically pain coming from behind the eye, as well as blurry vision and paralysis of the face, you need to talk to your doctor immediately and request that a screen and scan be performed<br /> If your doctor notices something in a scan, or if you're concerned about the possibility of an aneurysm, you'll probably be referred to a specialist. If you fit the risk profile or have experienced any of the symptoms of an aneurysm, talk about your tests with a neurosurgeon or neurologist to get more information. Further tests and screens may be required, and you'll be able to get more specific information from an expert in the field</div>

Choosing the right fabric, matching it with a pretty top and picking complementary shoes are all key to looking great in a maxi skirt<br /><br />Walk in it, swish around in it and see if it feels comfortable first. If you're tripping up, it's too long. Then check how it looks in the mirror––the more streamlined styles will be the most flattering, while the flouncy Bohemian styles can add weight and don't flatter all figures<br /><br /> There are two options here––monochrome (all one color) or matching colors. Avoid using colors that clash, as with any clothing.<br /><br />    Monochrome can look very slimming and elegant, as the same color all the way down your body creates a sense of elongation. However, be careful to match the shades well or it can look slightly off color.<br />    Don't mix patterns. A patterned skirt works best with a solid color top and vice versa. Definitely avoid mixing up spots, stripes, florals and diagonals.<br /><br /><br /> If you're petite, wear heels to give you the added height to cope with the skirt length and to elongate your silhouette. If you're taller, flats or heels will work with a maxi skirt, although heels are usually preferred for evening wear. If you and someone else start speaking at the same time, insist that the person go first. Ask lots of questions instead of talking about yourself and show that you’re really interested in people. People love to talk about their ideas and themselves, and it’s gracious to accept that instead of stealing the spotlight.<br /><br /><br />Being gracious means saying “after you” in the literal and metaphorical sense. If you want to be gracious, then you have to put others first, whether you’re letting someone order ice cream before you thought you’re having a killer chocolate craving, or whether you’re letting a car cut in in front of you even if you’re late to work. It’s a mindset. Other people should go before you, and it’s really not so important – you’ll get your turn anyway, and you’ll be more gracious for it<br /><br />Gracious people are always humble. They don’t brag about how great they are or show off; instead, they act modest and wait for other people to note their achievements. They don’t make a spectacle of themselves, they are in awe of how big and complicated the world is, and they don’t march into a room like they own the place. If you want to be humble, then be happy to be who you are without showing off about it.<br /> Treat other people with kindness and respect – even if they don’t always deserve it.
